Igniting Holiness in Ordinary Families” served as the theme for the Spring 2024 Grand Island Council of Catholic Women’s Spring Assembly, a two-day event that drew approximately 80 attendees, both women and men. The central focus was on promoting prayer and fostering a deeper intimacy with Jesus Christ, with the ultimate goal of enriching family life.

Katie Sciba from Omaha and Father Allen Phan trom Crete shared their unique perspectives on tamily dynamics, providing valuable insights to the gathering. The two-day event was a comprehensive experience, featuring a Mass celebrated by the Bishop and spiritual advisor, a silent auction, a style show, Bible trivia, food, and games, ensuring an enjoyable and engaging atmosphere.

Looking ahead, the organization invites everyone to mark their calendars for the Biennial Convention, scheduled to take place on August 9 and 10 in Broken Bow. This upcoming event will center its discussions around children and the impacts of mass media, addressing a topic of great relevance in today’s world.
